Step 1: Follow the directions in floorcloth preparation and create a floorcloth approximately 25" x 47". Step 2: Pour blue and purple and a small amount of paint extender onto paint lid. Using a brush apply some of each color onto a sponge and lightly rub across the surface of the floorcloth. TIP: To control the direction of your sponge strokes work back and forth across the width of the floorcloth rather than a random or very long stroke. | ![]() |
Step 3: Let dry. Using white chalk and a ruler measure a 7" border in from the edge and mark a line. Step 4: Create a mosaic stamping tile by cutting a 1/2" foam square long enough to hold comfortably in your hand. Using white paint lightly dip the sponge in paint and wipe off excess. Begin stamping along white chalk line. Repeat process until all the way around border. Let dry. | ![]() |

Step 7: Stamp a white border just inside the blue border along outside edge of floorcloth. Let dry. Step 8: Chalk in the remainder of the border using spiral swirls as shown. Placement does not have to be eact although spirals need to be about 4 or 4 1/2" wide. Adjust chalk drawing as needed to fill space. Begin stamping each chalk spiral with white paint and tile sponge. Finish any empty spaces as desired with additional stamped tiles. Let dry. Step 9: Follow the directions for finishing. |
